    Beltran, Tatis rally Mets to 3-2 win over Dodgers (AP)

    Carlos Beltran hit a tying homer and Fernando Tatis singled home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, rallying the resurgent New York Mets to a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. Mike Pelfrey tossed seven solid innings to keep New York close, making a strong case to stay in the majors.

    MLB to hold ceremonial Negro Leagues draft (AP)

    Country singer Charley Pride and Millito Navarro, at 102 believed to be the oldest living professional baseball player, were among the former Negro Leaguers invited to attend a ceremonial draft next month. The event will take place June 6 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., before Major League Baseball holds its annual amateur draft.
